About AOGP

Who is AOGP?
Adelaide to Outback GP Training Program (AOGP) delivers the training program for doctors who have been selected to specialise in General Practice. Our program adheres to the training standards set by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).

Whilst providing the core clinical training in General Practice, AOGP strives to maintain an innovative, high quality and adaptive program. We also endeavour to reflect the needs of our Registrars, Supervisors/Trainers and the regional community.

AOGP’s mission is to provide an exciting, diverse, and excellent education experience that creates competent and confident General Practitioners who are a dynamic and passionate force in primary health.

AOGP’s core business is delivering the Registrar Training Program, which is:

• responsive to the needs of our Registrars and local communities
• a high quality, adaptive program
• innovative in its delivery of education
• integrated with community stakeholders in the AOGP region
• inclusive of training in rural and remote procedural medicine, sub-speciality interest medicine, public health, academic medicine, teaching, research and evaluation
