International Medical Graduates (IMG)

IMG Fellowship Exam Preparation Program

The International Medical Graduate Fellowship Exam Preparation Program (IMG FEPP) provides you with assistance to prepare for a Fellowship with either Australian General Practice College (Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners).

The IMG FEPP consists of three Modules and includes interaction with both Medical Educators and peers. Some doctors may be eligible for funding for Module 1 under the RDWA’s Fellowship Support Program—please contact the RDWA to discuss terms of eligibility or visit their website www.ruraldoc.com.au

Why participate?

  • IMGs who engage with a personally tailored support Program have a higher chance of passing their exams on their first attempt.
  • The Program provides you with access to resources, materials and study groups, which may otherwise be hard to find in rural and remote areas.
  • Interacting with IMGs who are also preparing to sit their exams can provide invaluable support to assist your exam preparations.
  • The majority of our Medical Educators are IMG alumni. They have returned to AOGP to work with new IMGs and can offer their own personal insight, empathy and guidance on how to best prepare and approach the exams.
  • AOGP provides an Australian context to FACRRM and FRACGP exam preparation, including (but not limited to) rural and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health perspectives.
