Flinders and Far North

AOGP maintains a large region, which provides an extensive array of training opportunities: from remote practice in the north and west of the state, to training in diverse rural regions, through to outer-metropolitan and urban General Practice.

Regional Highlights

  • Arkaroola Astronomical Observatory
The Observatory provides you with a rare opportunity to tour the universe by combining one of Australia's largest privately owned astronomical observatories with new age Star Chairs. Under the expert tuition of Arkaroola's guides, this tour makes for the type of intergalactic experience that is not normally available to anyone but astronomers and scientists.
  • The Flinders Ranges National Park
The Park is one of South Australia's most popular destinations. This area is world-renowned for its geological history, Aboriginal rock art sites, impressive fossil remains and its ruins of early European settlement. Aborigines have lived in the Flinders Ranges for tens of thousands of years.
