Regional Highlights

  • Glenelg
Minutes away from the heart of Adelaide City, Glenelg is a charming seaside resort set on the long sandy white shores of Holdfast Bay. Glenelg is the site of South Australia's original mainland settlement in 1836.

As a populous cultural hub, Glenelg offers a wide range of services and attractions, including: spectacular sunset vistas, seven-day shopping, museums and galleries, restaurants and cafes, heritage walks, scuba diving, vibrant nightlife, and frequent festivals and events.
  • Kangaroo Island
Another popular location close to Adelaide is Kangaroo Island. The island is accessible by ferry or plane, and you are able to take across your car. The towns of Penneshaw and Kingscote offer a range of shops and services - all the essentials plus more. The island is famous for its produce, including wine, seafood, cheese and honey. Much of the island is untouched National Park, and the wildlife that can be found on the island includes sea lions, ospreys, sea eagles, Cape Barren Geese, kangaroos, koalas, brush tailed possums, echidna and even the platypus.
