Having been established in the 1880's this medical center has been providing services for individuals at practically all ages. Doctors in the practice are procedural, do anaesthetics, and general practice surgery. Anaesthetics are also done for the visiting surgeons, urologists, gynaecologists, and for the local dentists. The practice provides on call services for both the practice and hospital. It also provides medical and surgical services for the local hospital. The doctors also do X-rays locally.

Allied health:
Mental health counselling in practice via the division program, podiatry on visiting basis co located, and monthly meetings with the SYP Domiciliary Care group to coordinate care (this includes the State based mental health program). There are also two physiotherapists locally and another one attached to the Domiciliary Care group.

Radiology and some ultrasound, anaesthetics, general practice surgery, CASA medicals (Dr Kokar only),emergency medicine, inpatient care, palliative care services, mental health counselling, practice nurse services, INR’s, immunisations, nursing home visits, and integrating with the local domiciliary care services.
GP procedural services include hernia repairs, carpal tunnel release, dupuytren’s excision, and vasectomy.

Yorketown used to be primarily a farming and commercial fishing town and now is also renowned as a popular tourist destination. There are also many retirees in the small communities scattered along the coastline.
Situated close to the city of Adelaide, this area has the best surfing facilities and is on the Australian Junior Surfing Championship circuit.
