Operating as an outer metropolitan centre with approximately 15,000 patients a wide range of patients and disorders are treated at this centre. These include children, families, the word injured, women and the elderly, as well as hostel patients. The practice is fully computerized and a registered nurse supports all consulting sessions. In addition, primary-care nurse for health services is available. The Practice also hosts medical students from Adelaide and Flinders University. Full time registrars have their own consulting room with Internet access. We use best Practice for our clinical records and Zedmed for appointments and billing.

The Town of Gawler is Approximately 40 km north of Adelaide and 15 km south of the Barossa wine region.
The community is served by a 56 bed local hospital managed by the local GPs with excellent backup from visiting consultants from Adelaide in nearly all specialties. The nearest large teaching hospital utilized for training purposes is only 20 minutes south.
