Kadina Medical Associates - Rural

Kadina Medical Clinic is the largest practice on the Yorke Peninsula. The medical centre currently has 5 doctors and 2 Registrars. Kadina Medical Clinic is an accepted RACGP training provider which operates branch practice at Wallaroo, as well as providing a visiting service to Bute.

The facilities in this practice are excellent. The clinic is new and purpose built. Operating rooms are utilised for minor procedures. While Kadina no longer has its own hospital, the Regional Hospital at Wallaroo is only 5 minutes away, and is a very modern and well-equipped hospital, with 6 private and 20 public beds. A large array of visiting specialists and services means that most procedures are able to be carried out at the local hospital.

Regional Highlights

  • Attractions:
South east of the Eyre Peninsula is Yorke Peninsula. The Yorke Peninsula has variety of interesting places to visit. The peninsula itself is surrounded by water so diving, fishing and swimming are popular activities. Because of the lack of roads in the early days of settlement there are also a great many ports around the coast line so sailing is also a popular option for travellers. The peninsula itself is very much a mining/farming region, so if you have any interest in the history or current practices of these fields the region might be worth a visit. One of the best aspects of this region is that it is very much secluded from much of the rest of the mainland, yet is still very close to Adelaide.
